He received his MD degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx and then became a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Completing his residency training in ophthalmology at the Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, he became a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (FAAO). Working in Manhattan, he joined the NYEE Infirmary both as a private attending surgeon and resident instructor.
He became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
Joined the conveniently located Brooklyn Eye Surgery Center where Dr Zellner performs ambulatory surgery including Femto-second laser assisted cataract surgery with premium lens implants.
